A BETTER INTERACTIVE BOOT
If you need to troubleshoot your CONFIG.SYS or
AUTOEXEC.BAT file, you can use the DOS interactive boot.
Reboot your computer. Wait until you see on your screen:
STARTING MS-DOS...
Then press the function key labeled:
<F8>
With DOS 6.2, you can process both your CONFIG.SYS and
your AUTOEXEC.BAT file one line at a time. DOS 6.0 would
do the CONFIG.SYS one line at a time. Then it would run
the entire AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Being able to execute one
line at a time in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file is very helpful.
