NEEDS: PICLAB (Actually PL.EXE)
*****GEOREMAP*****
GEOREMAP is a PICLAB 'batch file' which is executed outside of the PICLAB environment but must be executed in the same drive\directory as PICLAB's PL.EXE (If you use PL286.EXE see below).
The purpose of GEOREMAP is to convert 256 color GIFs (Or actually any number of colors) to Ensemble's 16 color fixed palette without resizing the image.
How to do it in short...
-PL.EXE (or PL286.EXE) , ENSEMBLE.MAP and GEOREMAP must all be in (on) the same Drive and Directory (or disk)
-From this drive\directory (or disk) type:
PL GEOREMAP image.GIF image2.GIF
where image.GIF is the ACTUAL name of the GIF you want to convert *and*
image2.GIF is the name you want the finished image to be.
NOTE: You MUST rename the image... use your imagination!!
Press ENTER (RETURN) and you will see the process take place... no need to add further info!
Example: You want to convert BATMAN.GIF for use as an Ensemble background and you want the finished 'screen' to be entitled DARKNITE.GIF...
PL GEOREMAP BATMAN.GIF DARKNITE.GIF
and away it goes!
If you use PL286.EXE just substitute PL286 for PL above. Example:
PL286 GEOREMAP BATMAN.GIF DARKNITE.GIF

Stuff...
1.) GIF is a copyrighted trademark of Compuserve and H&R Bloch or which I am in no way related to!
2.) Ensemble and Geoworks are registered trade marks of GeoWorks (R)... another company I am not related to!
3.) PICLAB is a fantastic program! If you like it be CERTAIN to get FRACTINT... a marvelous fractal creator for any and all PC compatible systems from Herc, CGA, Tandy to Super VGA and the realms beyond! Unfortunately I am not related to those responsible for PICLAB and FRACTINT.
4.) The programs in this archive certainly should be safe to use on any system... and no matter what you say I take no responsibility for any damage, implied or otherwise, that they may cause... because there ain't nothing here to cause any but there is always someone looking for a free lunch (blah, blah, blah)...
