SCBATRAK (tm) is a full-featured record-keeping and maintenance tracking
program for Fire Department, Fire Brigade, and HazMat team Self-Contained
Breathing Apparatus systems and PASS units.
It features:
1. Inventory and reporting capability for your back packs. Stores the
last repair and certification dates and costs for better budgeting.
Alerts of packs coming due for repetitive maintenance, such as an
annual flow test or some other type of certification.
2. Inventory and reporting capability for your SCBA masks. As most
departments have more masks than packs, and some assign masks to each
firefighter, this module allows you to keep track of them wherever
they might be. Alerts of masks coming due for repetitive maintenance,
such as annual certification or overhaul.
3. Inventory and reporting capability for your air bottles. Tracks the
last hydrostatic test date to alert you of bottles coming due
for hydro test. Alerts you of bottles which have not been filled in
over two and a half months. Tracks composite bottles to assure they
are not used past their fifteen year ultimate life span.
4. Inventory and reporting capability for your PASS units. Tracks the
date of the last battery change and last functional check. Alerts you
of units coming due for a battery change or overdue for a functional
check.
5. A separate module called the "fill log" tracks all bottles you have
filled for anyone. Entries about the filling of your bottles are
transferred automatically into your air bottle inventory file to keep
your records up to date.
6. A multitude of reports and other features, including:
a. Total bottles filled between two dates, limited to only one specific
organization/owner, if desired.
b. Summary report of how many bottles filled for whom, up to nineteen
different owner/organization names. Superb for annual reports or
activity reports.
c. The ability to track your equipment via a department-assigned
"I.D. Number" as an alternative to using the manufacturers'
serial number.
d. Searches by partial serial number or partial I.D. number.
e. Single page printouts of each item, with all pertinent information and
maintenance history shown.
f. Budget information generation for bottles coming due for hydro sometime
in the future, specified between two dates, using either the actual cost
of the last hydro test or a manually entered estimated price (per
bottle) to give an estimated total cost. The report will list
up to nineteen different combinations of pressure/duration and the
total number of each type, in case you get charged different prices
for each bottle size. It will also give you a list of each bottle
by serial and ID number.
g. Budget information generation for back packs and masks coming due for
some type of repetitive maintenance, such as an annual flow test or
other certification. You specify two dates, using either the actual cost
of the last certification cost or a manually entered estimated price
(per item) to give an estimated total cost. The report will list each
item that will be due, as well as the estimated total cost.
h. Summary report on all of the bottles in your inventory, listed by
pressure/duration, with the total number of each type.
i. "Instant Upgrade" capability for registered users. All registered
users will receive instructions on performing future upgrades
themselves. This means you will be able to receive the shareware
copy from any source and immediately begin using it without the
annoying "commercials" and registration encouragement stuff.
j. Programmable "F" keys and pick lists to aid in entering information.
k. Easy backup of data files without having to go through DOS.
It was written so I no longer had to chase through each truck looking for
equipment needing whatever. It showed the Chief exactly how many bottles we
were filling for other departments who lacked their own compressors. It
helped convince the Administration we needed a second, faster compressor
and a larger bank. It made our annual budget forecast far more accurate.
Hope you like it.
