NetMaint.exe
Copyright (c) 1993 G. K. Pace
NetMaint is a companion utility for use with the NetInfo FidoNet
utility. This utility is only issued "with" NetInfo... and its use is
specific to the version of NetInfo it is supplied with!
NetMaint is a utility for the NetInfo "Host" to use to perform
maintenance upon the database. NetMaint allows the Host to sort the
database, delete Node records, make a list, and view the records.
NetInfo is designed to allow input ONLY from valid enabled Sysops
sending messages from their node. NetMaint does not violate this
principal... But in the event that an entry is entered and the Sysop who
is responsible for it fails to remove it when it should be... (system no
longer in service?) The Host Sysop can delete it... NetInfo is designed
to operate s FAST as possible thus it doesn't do sorting it just puts
the record(s) where it can retrive them. The resulting random listings
may not be "pleasing". The Host Sysop can sort the Database - the order
of the resulting sort is the order the Nodes are listed in the
NetInfo.ctl file.
NetMaint requires a configuration file similar to NetInfo, and it
will use the NETINFO.INI file if it can find it. If it cannot, it must
have a NETMAINT.INI to read. The NETMAINT.INI will not be read if it can
find a NETINFO.INI!. NetMaint expects to find these files in the directory
that NetMaint.exe is in.
NetMaint is menu driven... follow the prompts to sort, delete,
view, make a listing, and create "request for information" message(s).
All node addresses must be full Zone:Net/Node<optional point> node
addresses.

About Licensing... NetInfo is copyrighted material, and all rights
to it are reserved. You can use it for a limited time to try it out...
but must register it for continued use. License fees are reasonable, and
FidoNet Sysops operating a Public accessable, non-fee, Bulletin Board
System, or FidoNet Sysops operating a "Host" mail-only system which is
operated on a non-fee basis serving others in the FidoNet, will find the
registration fee to be very reasonable... commercial users, Government
users, and anyone who charges users a fee will pay a little more for the
use of NetInfo. <This is my policy on all of my FidoNet utilities>
