  4. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO UPGRADERS!!!

  6. Before running the setup program for the first time, copy your old
  7. EZVERIFY.CFG file into the directory containing this version. The
  8. setup program will automatically detect which version of EZVERIFY you
  9. were running previously and convert it to the new version.  You may
  10. also want to copy over your LOCAL.EZV, NOCALL.EZV, and EZVERIFY.DUP
  11. files.

  13. New Features in EZVERIFY 1.33 include:
  14.  
  15.     * Improved sharing of the CPU with Desqview and MS Windows.
  16.  
  17.     * A new utility program, EZVUTIL (see EZVUTIL.DOC).

  20. EZVERIFY 1.32 was made to work with Ezycom 1.02 "Update 5" dated
  21. Dec 14, 1993.  There is a bug in this version of Ezycom that makes
  22. the EXITINFO file larger than before.  EZVERIFY 1.32 works with ALL
  23. versions of Ezycom 1.02.

  25. EZVERIFY 1.31 fixes a problem that made EZVSETUP.EXE unable to create
  26. a configuration file from scratch under certain environments.
  27. Upgrading a configuration file presented no problems.

  30. New Features in EZVERIFY 1.30 include:

  32.     * Multiple modem configurations for multi-node systems.
  33.  
  34.     * Support for file-sharing when running on multiple nodes.
  35.  
  36.     * An option to disable dialing of unknown local numbers.

  38.     * Ability to dial local numbers that are outside your area code.

  41. EZVERIFY 1.21 fixes a serious problem in version 1.2 that prevented it
  42. from running at an unregistered site.  EZVERIFY 1.2 slipped into
  43. distribution a little too early.

  46. New features in EZVERIFY 1.2 include:

  48.     * A full-fledged log file let's you know exactly what happened 
  49.       each time a user enters EZVERIFY.

  51.     * Information is printed on the BBS screen during the callback
  52.       procedure to let you know what's going on.

  55. New features in EZVERIFY 1.1 include:

  57.     * New user time limits are now read from the Ezycom configuration
  58.       based on the security level you specify.
  59.  
  60.     * Event awareness makes sure that a user's new time limit cannot
  61.       cause an event to be "missed".

  63.     * A user's time and KB bank can be increased upon validation.
  64.  
  65.     * A custom "user comment" can be placed in the user record upon
  66.       validation.

  68.     * User ages may be checked upon validation, and qualified users
  69.       may be given completely different access, including a different
  70.       user comment.

  72.     * Toll callers may be given completely different access, including
  73.       a different user comment, upon validation.

  75.     * The time of day to allow toll calls is completely configurable
  76.       for each day of the week.

  78.     * The number of redial attempts and the delay between redials is

  81.     * An alternate method of hanging up, including a configurable
  82.       hangup string, is provided for older-style modems.

  84.     * EZVERIFY can now automatically build a list of numbers that are
  85.       local to you, eventually "knowing" all of your local exchanges.
