-
- SYMPTOMS:
-
- 1. Under OS/2 2.1 for Windows an error is generated running
- DSPINSTL when trying to select the monitor, the chipset

-
- NOTE: This procedure should NOT be repeated.

-
-
- RESOLUTION:
-
- 1. Generate SVGADATA.PMI file from DOS full screen by typing

- command prompts. This ensures there is no interference with
- driver installation if a driver file or DLL is being used.
- They become write protected during the install process.
-
- 3. Follow the Procedures exactly.
-

- If so, change to the drive and path where the drivers are
- stored.
-
- 8. Select Install.
-
- 9. When prompted, insert diskettes (normally starting
- with Disk 6 from OS/2 Installation through Disk 11. This

- Resolution.
-
- 11. Highlight desired resolution and select OK.
-
- 12. When prompted, load Display Driver disk 1 in A: drive, and
- select Install.
- NOTE: The Source Directory should be A:\
-
-
- 13. Installation includes Display Driver diskettes 1 and 2. The
- system prompts you for the correct Windows driver diskettes,
- based on the resolution you selected.

- Notes about installation of High-resolution drivers.
- -----------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Different monitors and video cards can affect the successful
- loading of drivers. Some configurations may require utility
- diskettes supplied by the video card manufacturer to ensure setup
- of correct refresh rates.
-
-
- Following is a partial listing of video cards and the utilities
- that apply. These are all DOS-based and must be run from full
- screen session before loading the SVGA drivers. Some require a
- line to be added to the AUTOEXEC.BAT to run properly.
-
- Questions regarding these utilities should be addressed to the
- respective technical support representatives.
