- SYMPTOMS:
-
- After installing SVGA support on Value Point systems, the monitor
- flickers and resolutions greater than 640x480x256 colors have a
- 1/2 inch black border around the desktop.

- RESOLUTION:
-
- Run REFRESH.EXE and set up the system to run in the highest
- re-fresh rate that the monitor can handle.
-
- The REFRESH program is located on the DOS CAD disk shipped with
- Value Point systems.
-
- PROCEDURES:
-
- 1. Run DSPINSTL and set system up for SVGA mode, do NOT
- restart the system.
-
- 2. Open a DOS full screen session
-
- 3. Insert the DOS CAD diskette that was shipped with the
- Value Point System in drive A:.
-
- 4. Type: A: and press Enter.
-
- 5. Type: CD UTIL and press Enter.
-
- 6. Type the following to run REFRESH.EXE:
-
- REFRESH and press Enter.
-
- 7. Select the correct refresh rate for the monitor without
- exceeding the monitor's limits. The higher the refresh rate,
- the better the performance.

- 8. Save changes and exit the utility.
-
- 9. Type: C: run SVGA ON
-
- 10. Perform shutdown and restart the system.
