  9. SYMPTOMS:
  10.  
  11. After installing SVGA support on Value Point systems, the monitor
  12. flickers and resolutions greater than 640x480x256 colors have a
  13. 1/2 inch black border around the desktop.
  14.  
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION:
  17.  
  18. Run REFRESH.EXE and set up the system to run in the highest
  19. re-fresh rate that the monitor can handle.
  20.  
  21. The REFRESH program is located on the DOS CAD disk shipped with
  22. Value Point systems.
  23.  
  24. PROCEDURES:
  25.  
  26. 1.  Run DSPINSTL and set system up for SVGA mode, do NOT
  27.      restart the system.
  28.  
  29. 2.  Open a DOS full screen session
  30.  
  31. 3.  Insert the DOS CAD diskette that was shipped with the
  32.     Value Point System in drive A:.
  33.  
  34. 4.  Type:  A: and press Enter.
  35.  
  36. 5.  Type:  CD UTIL and press Enter.
  37.  
  38. 6.  Type the following to run REFRESH.EXE:
  39.  
  40.       REFRESH  and press Enter.
  41.  
  42. 7.  Select the correct refresh rate for the monitor without
  43.     exceeding the monitor's limits.  The higher the refresh rate,
  44.     the better the performance.
  45.  
  46. 8.  Save changes and exit the utility.
  47.  
  48. 9.  Type:  C: run SVGA ON
  49.  
  50. 10. Perform shutdown and restart the system.
