- The tune editor is a music editor for arranging simplistic, one
- voice compisitions on bass and treble clefs.

- Features:

- Three octaves total range in half steps:
- Changes using pitch bar / up and down arrows.
-
- Tempos from 1 to 300:
- Changes using tempo bar.
-
- Using up to 20 notes or rests:
- Switch between notes with note bar /left and right arrows

- To change notes or rests from whole to 1/32 in half increments:
- Changes made using value bar.

- To Insert notes or rests:
- Use Ctrl+I

- To save tunes in PMDiary format:
- Type: .$$A
-

- Limitations:
-
- Tune Editor is limited to:
- 20 notes and rests, regardless of length.
- Flats only, no sharps.
- One key.

- Examples:

- Composing and using a tune as an alarm for PMDiary. Tune editor
- saves files in a format compatible with alarm sounds for PMDiary.
- The default alarm is the file PMDIARY.$$A

- Renaming the default alarm tune:
- --------------------------------
- 1. Open the OS/2 System folder.
- 2. Open the Command Prompts folder.
- 3. Open OS/2 Window.
- 4. Enter these lines
- CD \OS2\APPS
- REN PMDIARY.$$A DEF_ALM.$$A.
- 5. Press Alt+F4 to close the OS/2 Window.
- 6. Press Alt+F4 to close the Command Prompts folder.

- Opening the Tune Editor to compose a tune:
- ------------------------------------------
- 1. Open the Productivity folder.
- 2. Open Tune Editor.
- 3. Compose tune using controls listed in Functionality.

- Saving a tune:

- 1. Select File from menu bar.
- 2. Select Save As from the pull down menu.
- 3. Select Save As filename:
- Type: PMDIARY.$$A
- 4. Select Save.
- 5. Press Alt+F4 to close.

- Set alarm in PMDiary and your tune plays as the alarm.
