  11. SYMPTOMS:

  13. Unable to install OS/2 2.1 on an EISA system with an Adaptec
  14. 1742A controller card.
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION:
  17.  
  18. Run the Setup Configuration Program provided with the Adaptec
  19. card Setup diskette.  Setup the card to the configuration
  20. described below.

  22. PROCEDURES:

  24. Set up the Adaptec Card in the following configuration using the
  25. Setup Diskette supplied with the controller.
  26.  
  27.         1. Enhanced Mode to OFF
  28.         2. Standard Mode to ON
  29.         3. Hex Address to C800
  30.         4. I/O Port to 230H
  31.         5. DMA Channel to 5
  32.         5. Parity Check to OFF
  33.         6. Synchronous Negotiation to ON
  34.         7. Enabled Disconnect to YES
  35.         8. IRQ to 11 (default is 2)
