  3.        DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:

  5.        Run DSPINSTL and when svga.exe executes the system will 
  6.        hang.  
  7.  
  8.        SUMMARY OF RESOLUTIONS:  
  9.  
  10.        Verify that your hardware along with OS/2 will support svga 
  11.        resolution.  If so, then install svga video drivers using 
  12.        an alternate procedure.  
  13.  
  14.        DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:  
  15.  
  16.        1. Verify that your hardware along with OS/2 will support 
  17.        svga resolution.  
  18.        2. Boot from the DOS partition or a DOS
  19.        bootable diskette.  
  20.        3. Execute SVGA ON DOS from the prompt.
  21.        4. Validate the contents of SVGADATA.DOS such as the total 
  22.        memory detected, etc.  
  23.        5. Boot OS/2.  
  24.        6. Copy the SVGADATA.DOS FILE to the OS2 directory on
  25.        the OS2 boot drive.  
  26.        7. Rename or copy the SVGADATA.DOS to SVGADATA.PMI.
  27.        8. Now execute RSPDSPI.EXE:

  29.        RSPDSPI /PK:SVGA /SK:NONE /S:A:  /T:C:\ /MC:8
