  3.         INSTALLING OS/2 2.1 ON A MACHINE WITH AN AOX/KINGSTON

  7.         DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  8.  
  9.         Cannot install OS/2 2.1 on a machine with a 286 CPU upgraded to
  10.         a 386SX with an AOX upgrade.
  11.  
  12.         SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  13.  
  14.         Boot real DOS and run AOX232.EXE that can be obtained from AOX'S
  15.         BBS or Technical Support group.
  16.  
  17.         DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  18.  
  19.         1.  Download AOX232.EXE from AOX'S BBS (617-890-3393) or call
  20.             the AOX Technical Support group (800-232-1269) and request it.
  21.  
  22.         2.  Boot the machine from DOS or a DOS bootable diskette.
  23.  
  24.         3.  Insert the disk with AOX232.EXE in drive A:
  25.  
  26.         4.  This needs to be run every time before installation of OS/2
  27.              2.1.
  28.  
  29.         5.  Remove the disk from drive A and insert the OS/2 2.1
  30.             Installation diskette in drive A and press Ctrl + Alt + Del to
  31.             reboot the system and restart the installation.
