- TITLE: THE "^" SYMBOL IS DISPLAYED WHEN SELECTIVELY
- INSTALLING DRIVERS FOR DUAL DISPLAY.

- DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:

- The "^" symbol is displayed when selective install is
- supposed to prompt you for a display driver diskette during
- the install of drivers for dual display.

- SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
-
- Edit the files PSMONO.DSC in the install directory and
- PSMONO.DSP on display driver diskette 1.
-
- DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
-
- 1. Open an OS2 fullscreen session.
- 2. Change to the os2\install directory.
- 3. Edit the file called PSMONO.DSC by typing "e
- psmono.dsc" at the command prompt.
- 4. Look for the following line and change it from:
-
- ^1 to "Display Driver Diskette 1"
-
- note: be sure to include the quotation marks when you make
- the change.
- 5. Save the file.
- 6. Insert display driver diskette 1 into drive A:
- and switch to the A: drive.
- 7. Edit the file called PSMONO.DSP and change the
- following:

- SET VIDEO_DEVICES = VIO_MPA,VIO_%PRI% to SET VIDEO_DEVICES
- = VIO_%PRI%,VIO_MPA

- 8. Save the file, reboot, and retry selective install.
