  5. INSTALLING OS/2 WARP from a PHILLIPS LMS205 CD-ROM
  6. ================================================================

  8. The LMS205.ADD CD-ROM driver is not on Diskette 1 with the other
  9. CD-ROM drivers due to space condsiderations.  If you have a
  10. Phillips LMS205 CD-ROM and ARE INSTALLING from the CD-ROM Version
  11. of OS/2 WARP, please do the following:
  12.  
  13. 1. Start the system with OS/2 or DOS.
  14.  
  15. 2. Make a temporary subdirectory on your hard disk, type:
  16.  
  17.         MD TEMP and press Enter.
  18.  
  19. 3. Insert the OS/2 WARP Installation diskette into drive A.
  20.    Copy the LMS205.ADD driver to the temporary subdirectory on
  21.    the hard disk, type:
  22.  
  23.         COPY A:\LMS205.ADD c:\TEMP and press Enter.
  24.         (Where c: is the hard disk)
  25.  
  26. 4. Insert the OS/2 WARP Diskette 1 in the 3.5"  A: drive.  Make
  27.    sure you have a blank, formatted 1.44 MB diskette ready.
  28.  
  29. 5. From a command prompt type:
  30.  
  31.         DISKCOPY A: A: and press Enter.
  32.  
  33. 6. Follow the prompts.
  34.  
  35. 7. Put the ORIGINAL OS/2 WARP Diskette 1 away and use the
  36.    DISKCOPY of Diskette 1 for the remainder of this procedure.

  38. 7. From the DISKCOPY of Diskette 1, delete the file LMS206.ADD:
  39.  
  40.         DEL A:\LMS206.ADD and press Enter.
  41.  
  42. 8. Copy the LMS205.ADD driver from the temporary subdirectory to the
  43.    DISKCOPY of Diskette 1:
  44.  
  45.         COPY c:\TEMP\LMS205.ADD A: and press Enter.
  46.  
  47. 9. Edit A:\CONFIG.SYS on the DISKCOPY of Diskette 1 and change the
  48.    statement:
  49.  
  50.        From:     basedev=lms206.add
  51.  
  52.        To:       basedev=lms205.add
  53.  
  54. 10. Start OS/2 WARP installation using the DISKCOPY of Diskette
  55.     1.
  56.
