- WIN-OS/2 can run in two operating modes:
-
- * Standard Mode - used to run programs written for
- Microsoft Windows Versions 3.0 and 3.1.
- * Enhanced Compatibility Mode - used to run programs
- requiring Microsoft Windows Versions 3.0
- and 3.1 enhanced.

- NOTE: All Windows Version 3.0 and 3.1 standard mode programs
- runs in a WIN-OS/2 enhanced compatibility mode session.

- You can specify a mode for a WIN-OS/2 session or Windows programs
- by changing the WIN-OS/2 run mode setting. For Windows programs
- requiring Microsoft Windows Version 3.1 enhanced mode, set the
- WIN_RUN_MODE setting to 3.1 ENHANCED COMPATIBILITY.

- TO SET THE MODE:
-
- 1. Display the pop-up menu for the Windows program object.
- 2. Select the arrow to the right of OPEN.
- 3. Select SETTINGS.
- 4. Select SESSION.
- 5. Select the WIN-OS/2 settings, push button.
- 6. Select the WIN_RUN_MODE setting.
- 7. Select the 3.1 ENHANCED COMPATIBILITY radio button.
- 8. Select SAVE.
