  5. USING THE UNPACK COMMAND

  11. You need to upload a file to your hard disk and get the error
  12. message that a file is missing:
  13.  
  14.  -  The UNPACK command must reside on your hard disk
  15.  
  16.  -  The UNPACK command is located on Diskette 2:
  17.  
  18.  
  19.       BLUE colored labels for OS/2                  UNPACK.EXE
  20.       SALMON colored labels for OS/2                UNPACK2.EXE
  21.       GREEN colored labels for OS/2 for Windows     UNPACK2.EXE

  24.  -  If you have OS2 installed and you get a missing file
  25.     you can find the location in the INSTALL.LOG:
  26.     1.  Type:  CD\OS2\INSTALL     and press Enter
  27.     2.  Type:  E INSTALL.LOG      and press Enter
  28.     3.  Select OPTIONS
  29.     4.  Select FIND
  30.     5.  Type the name of the missing file

  33. TO PUT THE UNPACK ON YOUR HARD DISK:
  34.  
  35. Insert OS/2 Diskette 2 in the drive A:
  36.  
  37. Type: UNPACK A:(Filename of bundled file) X:\(path) /N:
  38.       EXAMPLE:  UNPACK A:\BUNDLE C:\OS2 /N:HPFS.IFS
  39.  
  40. To copy a file using the CD-ROM, go to a command prompt:
  41.  
  42. 1. Perform SHUTDOWN.  If you are unable to SHUTDOWN, turn the
  43.    system off for 30 seconds.
  44.  
  45. 2. Insert Installation Diskette in drive A:
  46.  
  47. 3. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart system if you SHUTDOWN.
  48.    Turn the computer on if you turned it off.
  49.  
  50. 4. When prompted, remove Installation Diskette and insert
  51.    Diskette 1.
  52.  
  53. 5. Press Enter.
  54.  
  55. 6. When the Welcome Screen appears, press Esc, to display the
  56.     A:  prompt.
  57.  
  58.    If you installed from CD, the command prompt stops at CD
  59.    drive in DISK_1 subdirectory, change to DISK_2 subdir.

  62.                X:  is the CD-ROM drive
  63.    NOTE: DISK_2 (where 2 is will become the number of diskette
  64.          needed, such as UNPACK or CHKDSK is on diskette 2)

  70. UNPACK with CD-ROM:
  71.  
  72. It is recommended to make a diskette from the images on CD-ROM.
  73. Instructions are in the README.INS on the image of diskette 3
  74. and can be view and printed in DOS and OS/2.

  76. If you installed from CD-ROM, it is recommended you create the
  77. diskette. Type:
  78.  
  79.        <cd>:\DISKIMGS\LOADDSKF
  80.        <cd>:\DISKIMGS\OS2\<size>\DISP1.DSK A:
  81.  
  82.    Where <cd> is the letter of your CD-ROM drive
  83.    <size> is the size of diskette
  84.    (35 for 3.5" disks, 525 for 5.25" disks).

  87. If you are using CD-ROM and you need to unpack OS2CDROM.DMD.
  88. This file is located in a bundled file called CDROMREQ on
  89. the following diskette:

  91. :font facename='System Monospaced' size=12x12.
  92.  
  93.     BLUE labels for OS/2                  Diskette #10
  94.     SALMON labels for OS/2                Diskette #12
  95.     GREEN labels for Os/2 for Windows     Diskette # 5

  97. :font facename=default.

  99. The UNPACK command is on Diskette 2 and must be on the
  100. hard disk.

  102.    EXAMPLE:  UNPACK A:\CDROMREQ C:\OS2 /N:OS2CDROM.DMD
