  26. QVT/PM is a DEC VT220/102/52 terminal emulation and communica-
  27. tions program which has been created to run under OS/2 as a true
  28. Presentation Manager application.
  29.  
  30. In addition to terminal emulation, QVT/PM offers file transfer
  31. facilities using three popular protocols - Kermit, XMODEM, and
  32. ZMODEM, as well as auto-dial and auto-login capabilities. Since
  33. QVT/PM is an OS/2 application, these operations, once started,
  34. may be sent to the background, thereby permitting the use of the
  35. machine for other tasks.

  37. Hardware/Software Requirements
  38. QVT/PM requires OS/2 Standard Edition version 1.1 with Presenta-
  39. tion Manager. It is compatible with OS/2 Extended Edition as long
  40. as the standard COM device driver is used, not the ACDI device
  41. drivers.
  42. The only keyboard supported by QVT/PM is the 101-key 'Enhanced'
  43. keyboard. This is the keyboard most frequently found on computers
  44. which are powerful enough to run OS/2, and it also the one which
  45. is best suited to emulate the DEC LK201 keyboard.
  46. If you intend to use the modem-control features of QVT/PM, you
  47. must have a Hayes or Hayes-compatible modem. The modem should be
  48. set up to allow computer control of the DTR signal; consult the
  49. modem user's manual for instructions on how to do this.

  51. RUNNING is a simple program which provides a listing of all
  52. processes currently being used by OS/2. It provides information
  53. about the processes such as their PID, their PARENT PID, the
  54. internal module ID #, the number of children processes, the
  55. number of threads currently running in each process, and
  56. dependency links to resources.  Resources are DLL's or font
  57. files.

  59. Screen Blanker, a Screen Saver Program for OS/2 is a program
  60. which blanks the screen after a specified period of inactivity,
  61. in order to prevent patterns from being "burned-in" to the
  62. screen.

  64. Hardware and software required:
  65. Screen Blanker requires OS/2 Version 1.1. It should work with
  66. either Standard Edition or Extended Edition and with any computer
  67. and monitor that are supported by OS/2.

  69. SIZE.EXE.. The purpose of this program is to allow the user of
  70. IBM's OS/2 ver 1.1 to control the size of the Presentation
  71. Manager windows after clicking on the "maximixe" icon on the VGA
  72. display.

  74. ThStat v1.10 The Thread Status Display will run under OS/2 v1.1
  75. and v1.2. ThStat is a PM-utility which gives you the ability to
  76. observe the status of threads (READY/BLOCKED/FROZEN). You can
  77. determine if ThStat should observe all threads currently running
  78. or only the thread(s) belonging to an existing process.
