  33. Purpose: WORLD29 version 2.9A is designed to provide rapid,
  34. graphic representation of the area surrounding any location on
  35. Earth.
  36. Rapid graphic location determination by several methods is
  37. provided. Tables are provided for U.S. State capitals, National
  38. capitals, and locations provided by the user. The location can
  39. be entered as a latitude and longitude. The user may select a
  40. location by typing the name, or a portion of the name, and
  41. selecting from the possibilities presented.New locations can be
  42. added to the database.
  43. The Continents of the world may be displayed.
  44. A pointer can be moved to a location on a projection of the world
  45. and a new projection centered on that location is created.
  46. Distances between selected points can be determined.
  47. Storm or other element tracking throughout the world is provided.
  48. Data can be entered within the program for future viewing. Single
  49. storm or other track plotting is provided.
  50. The program is designed to run on any graphics PC compatible
  51. system with more then 256 Kb of memory without modification. The
  52. single exception is the case of a Hercules or Hercules Compatible
  53. system. For these systems a CGA simulator must be run.
