  14. Tracker is a complete Tropical Cyclone Database and Mapping
  15. system. Tracker plots cyclone data on maps that you create with
  16. MAPPER, a special mapping program written just for Tracker that
  17. is available free when you register. In it's pre-registered form,
  18. Tracker comes with one usable map - a mercator projection - and
  19. several sample maps which can be displayed, but not used to plot
  20. storms.
  21. Tracker will plot all of the storm positions automatically or
  22. allow you to step through them, forward and backward, one at a
  23. time, with the cursor keys. A special "repeat" mode animates the
  24. storm's progress continuously until the Escape key is pressed.
  25. Tracker color codes the storm's intensity at each position with
  26. a color scheme of your choosing and sound effects can be toggled
  27. on to act as an "audible index" to the storm's intensity. The
  28. higher the tonal pitch, the more intense the storm.
  29. Tracker's spreadsheet mode allows you to enter, edit and delete,
  30. or just browse the actual plotting data very easily and
  31. intuitively. Up to twenty track positions can be viewed at once.
  32. To edit a value, simply move the cursor to the appropriate cell
  33. and enter the number.
  34. Requirements: IBM or IBM-compatible XT or AT, 256k RAM, hard
  35. drive, EGA-compatible display, DOS 2.1 or higher.
  36. Coprocessor is recommended, but not necessary.
