  38.         INSTANT PULL DOWN MENUS DEMO for Word Perfect  5.0/4.2

  40.     WPM5.EXE is a pull down menu system for Word Perfect 5.0
  41. created with Instant Menus. Many of the functions will not  work properly with
  42. WordPerfect 4.2. If you have version 4.2  and would like to try pull down
  43. menus, use WPM42.EXE  instead.

  46. HOW TO USE THE WORD PERFECT MENU DEMO
  47.  
  48.     To run the Word Perfect menu demo, put the WPM5.EXE  program on
  49. your Word Perfect 5.0 directory and type:
  50.  
  51.      WPM5 <file name>
  52.  
  53. The <file name> is optional. WPM5 will search for WP.EXE on  the
  54. current path and, in turn, run it. Once in the editing mode,
  55. you'll notice that Word Perfect hasn't changed a bit! Now  press
  56. Alt-Z, and you'll be treated to a pull down menu describing  many
  57. of the options familiar to Word Perfect users. Press the UP,
  58. DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT keys until the option that you want is
  59. highlighted. Press ENTER and the function is performed or  press
  60. ESC to abort the menu process. It's that simple. No more
  61. remembering (Alt-F7) or any of those other ridiculous key
  62. combinations! Use WPM5 just as if it were WP, including  specifying
  63. a file name on the command line.

  68. DISKFONT  Searches a directory for specified soft font files  and,
  69.           optionally, lists descriptive information about  the
  70.           ones it finds.
  71.  
  72. FIXPRE    Removes deleted (and optionally other) data  packets
  73.           from WP5 document files and removes deleted data
  74.           packets from WP5 setup files (WP{WP}.SET, or any  other
  75.           name you have used to store a setup file).  For
  76.           document files, this will often facilitate  changing the
  77.           printer driver used with the file and it will cure  the
  78.           uncontrolled growth in file size that can result  from
  79.           using the FASTSAVE option.  Setup files grow in  size as
  80.           you modify your setup; FIXPRE shrinks them again.   And
  81.           FIXPRE sometimes helps when WP5 just seems to be  acting
  82.           strangely.

  84. FONTFILE  Lists the file names of the soft font files  specified
  85.           in a PRS file.

  87. FONTLIST  List the names of the fonts used in a WP5  document.

  89. LISTMACS  Lists the names and descriptions of macros in WPM  and
  90.           WPK files (and the keys for WPK macros),  optionally
  91.           sorted in various ways.

  93. MAKETABS  Converts an ASCII text file to a WP5 document,  with
  94.           spaces replaced by tabs.

  96. PRINTIT   Paginates and otherwise formats an ASCII text file  for
  97.           printing.

  99. PRSFONTS  Lists the names of the fonts available in a WP5  PRS
  100.           file, along with the resources and groups.

  103.           sorted in various ways.

  110.           recent WordPerfect Corporation files.  For  document
  111.           files, lists the document summary.  For macro  files,
  112.           lists the description.  Optionally reveals the
  113.           structure of WP5 document file prefixes and of WP5
  114.           setup file prefixes.
