  14.           22DISK - A CP/M-TO-DOS MEDIA TRANSFER UTILITY

  17. 22NICE AND 22DISK IN BRIEF
  18.  
  19. 22NICE and 22DISK are two related products -- a media  conversion
  20. package and a Z-80/8080 CP/M 2.2 emulator.   The operation of one
  21. part is not dependent on the other -- if you want to  use  22DISK
  22. to convert data from other disk formats to DOS or vice-versa, you
  23. need not install the 22NICE CP/M emulator.  Similarly, if you al-
  24. ready have CP/M programs available as DOS files, you may not want
  25. to use the 22DISK disk conversion utilities.

  27. Our packaging for 22NICE and 22DISK offers the 22DISK program set
  28. separately  for  those  who  may be using a different emulator or
  29. have no need of a CP/M emulator.   The 22NICE emulation  package,
  30. however,  is bundled with 22DISK because of the need to transport
  31. CP/M files to the PC before emulation can be performed.

  33.      The 22DISK disk conversion package offers the  following
  34.      features:

  36.      *    "Roll  your  own" disk formats - we provide support
  37.           for several common CP/M 2.2 diskette  formats,  but
  38.           if  you  have a format that isn't in our list,  you
  39.           can simply define the characteristics in  an  ASCII
  40.           parameter  file.    Registered  users  get  an even
  41.           larger file of diskette types.

  43.      *    Support for single- double- and  quad-density  for-
  44.           mats, hardware permitting.

  46.      *    Support of the the following operations:

  69.      *    Supports  CP/M  user  number  to  DOS  subdirectory
  70.           translation.

  72.      *    Allows  use  of DOS "pipes" and utilities with CP/M

  76.           interfaces, including direct disk read/write.
