  31.                  ARCDIAG - ARCNET DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM
  32.                  For use with Novell Netware/SM/RX Type  Networks
  33.  
  34. The ARCDIAG program is designed to be a service tool for  network
  35. administrator personnel for a network that uses ARCNET type
  36. hardware (see specifications section for compliance).   The  ARCDIAG
  37. program includes two diagnostic sections that will help  during
  38. installation of an ARCNET network.  The diagnostic software
  39. can be
  40. operated at any workstation during installation of the  network or
  41. at any time while running the Novell Network Operating  System.
  42.             NOTE: The ARCDIAG program is not intended to
  43.             isolate Novell Software problems except in
  44.             those cases where the physical network
  45.             hardware is the prime cause of the problem.
  46. The program exercises the network card by testing all of its
  47. internal functions, RAM, RIM etc., and then displays a map  of
  48. active nodes and packet counts.  The latter also provides an
  49. indication of any reconfiguration that might be occurring.

  52. TTLIST.EXE  program that shows a 'graphic' tree of
  53.         trustee assignments to certain users/groups,
  54.         starting from a given directory.

  56. WHO_USES.EXE    A program that gives you the username(s) of  the user(s)
  57.             who are using a file on your network. This is  actually
  58.             a command line shortcut for the novell FCONSOLE  utility.
  59. NOTE :  You must be at least a console operator to use this  utility.

  62. FILESCAN is a utility that I wrote to avoid having to go  into FCONSOLE to
  63. see who was using the file I wanted.  FILESCAN simply  provides a list of
  64. each connection's open files.  It requires Advanced NetWare  2.10 or greater.

  66.                 *** NWHAT - Network What ***
  67. A batch file enhancement program for Novell Networks
  68.   NWHAT gets various pieces of information from a Novell  network
  69. and returns this information to a batch process in the form  of an
  70. error level or by writing the result to the DOS enviroment  table
  71. as the NWHAT variable.
  72.   I wrote NWHAT because I got tired of writing custom menus  for
  73. all of my users. Seems like every workstation has a slightly
  74. different setup and requires a different configuration file  for
  75. every application on the network.
  76.   NWHAT allows dynamic branching within a batch file or  Novell menu
  77. based on the work station and user information it can  supply.  It
  78. also allows me to edit LOGIN scripts with a text editor  instead of
  79. going into SYSCON and I use NWHAT to login Network Assistant  printer
  80. servers onto the network when the user logs out.
