  35.             FEWBLAAT LAN Chat-utility:
  36. - Open a line:    Allows you to select a user
  37.                   and send a FewBlaat request
  38.                   to that user. If the user
  39.                   acknowledges the request, a
  40.                   line is opened between the

  43.                   communication line.

  45.                   line broadcast message.

  49. Network Interactive Conversation and File Transfer
  50.         
  51.    Phone is a Local Area Network program designed  specifically for use with 
  52. Novell networks.  The program  allows interactive chat-style conversations 
  53. between users on  the LAN.  Conversations can be started between any two 
  54. users  on a NetWare LAN, including those which are bridged 
  55. internally or externally with NetWare bridges.  In addition 
  56. to conversations, Phone performs file transfer between  workstations.
  57.  
  58.    The main difference between Phone and other chat-style  programs is that 
  59. Phone conversations take place character by  character.  That is, as each 
  60. character is typed on the  sending station the receiving station displays it.
  61.   This  makes life much more interesting than sentence based 
  62. programs.  Phone also performs file transfer between  workstations. The 
  63. transfer can be initiated by either  station, and the non-initiating station 
  64. has the option of  aborting the process.

  66.    The Phone Demo program operates the same way as the full 
  67. version of Phone except that it will only operate for 1  minute.  
  68. Also, the name of the program on diskette is PHONEDEM.EXE,  as 
  69. opposed to PHONE.EXE.  In all places in the documentation  where 
  70. PHONE.EXE is referred to, please substitute PHONEDEM.EXE.   For 
  71. further documentation please refer to the Phone  documentation 
  72. which has been included with this Demo diskette.

  76. This utility is written specially for Novell NetWare and  allows you to log 
  77. any message into the file :
  78. sys:system\net$log.msg.

  89. MONITOR is een resident programma voor het synchroniseren 
  90. van beeldschermen en/of toetsenborden in een Novell netwerk. 
  91. Monitor laat zich alleen laden met een geladen Novell-shell. 
  92. Als de Novell-shell niet is geladen dan volgt na uitvoeren 
  93. van monitor de melding: "Monitor: IPX is not loaded". 
  94. Uitvoeren van monitor nadat monitor al is geladen, heeft 
  95. slechts zin om opties te wijzigen; het kan slechts een keer 
  96. worden geladen.

  98. Nadat monitor is geladen kan men andere computers in het 
  99. netwerk waarop monitor ook is geladen eventueel bekijken 
  100. en/of overnemen. Opdracht hiervoor kan op elk willekeurig 
  101. moment plaatsvinden door middel van de toetscombinatie <Alt 
  102. Rechter-shift> (aangezien MS-DOS niet altijd beschikbaar is 
  103. voor onderbreking is enige keren herhalen hiervan soms 
  104. nodig). Er verschijnt dan een menubalk op de onderste regel 
  105. met de volgende items:

  107. In de demoversie is een maximale connectietijd ingesteld 
  108. (zo'n 5 minuten), die bij overschrijding resulteert in het 
  109. verbreken van de verbinding en de melding "Demonstration 
  110. timeout...." op de onderste regel.

  115. NETMAP laat op een willekeurig werkstation de 
  116. plattegrond zien van een netwerk draaiend onder 
  117. Novell's Advanced Netware versie 2.0A en hoger.

  119. Op de plattegrond, die met een normale editor (PC-
  120. Write, WP) kan worden aangemaakt, worden de 
  121. connecties met de huidige fileserver zichtbaar 
  122. gemaakt.

  124. NetOff Network Logoff Utility

  127. NETOFF is a memory resident utility for use with NetWare  LANs.  
  128. NetOff will log an inactive user off the file server after a 
  129. specified period of time.  NetOff monitors activity on the 
  130. keyboard, disk drive, network and printer.  When an inactive
  131. user 
  132. is logged off the network, the workstation displays the  message 
  133. "NetOff has logged you out."
