  82.                  WEBB - Literatuurbeheerssysteem
  83. Dit systeem bestaat uit een aantal applicatieprogramma's voor  dBASE II welke
  84. het mogelijk maken om met behulp van deze datamanager een uitgebreide verzame-
  85. ling boektitels te beheren en op  efficiente wijze gericht toegang tot deze
  86. titels te krijgen. Dit  is niet alleen van belang voor studenten en weten-
  87. schappers maar  ook de serieuze hobbyist op allerlei terrein kan zo zijn
  88. literatuur bijhouden ,in de datebase is namelijk ook de mogelijkheid  inge-
  89. ruimd bibliotheeksignaturen op te nemen.
  90. Mijns inziens is dit een toepassing van dBASE II die in de bekende boeken en
  91. handleidingen weinig aandacht krijgt maar een groot  aantal gebruikers van
  92. computers vvor niet-technische doelen  (tekstverwerkers e.d.) zullen aanspre-
  93. ken.
  94. De voorbeelden in de gebruikersboeken bieden dan ook vaak geen  oplossing voor
  95. specifieke problemen die deze toepassing opleveren; hopelijk is daarom deze
  96. bijdrage ook nog van praktisch nut  voor vele dbase II gebruikers.

  98. Het bibliografische systeem WEBB is geschreven onder CP/M-versie  2.4 van
  99. dBase. Onder MS-DOS 2.4 loopt het ook, doch er kwamen wel  enige syntaxfouten
  100. naar voren. De database structuren zijn nu  leeg en moeten op schijf B worden
  101. gezet. Alle andere programma's  moeten op A staan. De programma's maken zelf
  102. tijdens het gebruik  verschillende index files.Het systeem WEBB is geschreven
  103. op een  KAYPRO II, en er wordt gebruikt gemaakt van een BROTHER HR15  printer.
  104. Afgezien van een enkel 'grafisch' teken en wat ESCAPE  sequences die makkelijk
  105. kunnen worden aangepast is het op elke  printer te draaien.

  109. dBASEII ORDER AND INVENTORY PROGRAM           
  110. A complete  dBASEII (TM) order and inventory program. Covers  orders for and
  111. inventory of SIG/M Vols 1 to 136. When order is  entered program advises if in
  112. stock or backordered and makes  appropriate adjustment to inventory. Prints
  113. invoices, shipping  labels,  disk labels, various reports. Includes FASTBASE
  114. (TM)  search program which locates any string in any field in all  records.
  115. Automatic date verification. Runs under CP/M, CP/M-86  and MS-DOS versions of
  116. dBase. Problems with MS-DOS:
  117. a) do not use time routines built-in for CompuPro CP/M-80/86
  118. b) change filename SIG/M to SIGM throughout nearly all programs;  also the two
  119. 'SIG/M' program names were changed (slash removed).  The name SIG/M is so much
  120. grounded in the CP/M environment that  MS-DOS simply rejects it for files.....
