  4. Thank you for trying this special demonstration version of Golden
  5. CommPass.  Golden CommPass is the ONLY CompuServe navigation program
  6. that is specifically designed to work in conjunction with OS/2.

  8. Creative Systems Programming Corporation is making this special
  9. demonstration version of Golden CommPass(tm) available to CompuServe
  10. Information Service users that are interested in experimenting with a
  11. native OS/2 application for accessing CompuServe.

  13. We hope that by making this demonstration version available, you will
  14. be able to evaluate the usefulness of a completely automatic OS/2
  15. CompuServe navigation program.  The evaluation period for this program
  16. is limited to 30 days.

  18. This demonstration program contains all of the features of the
  19. complete Golden CommPass program, except that it has been limited to
  20. accessing CompuServe forums that begin with either IBM or OS2.

  45. This special demonstration version of Golden CommPass is distributed
  46. as a single self-extracting PKZIP file.  The name of the file is
  47. COMPAS.EXE.

  49. When you run this program, the files listed below will be created.
  50. All of these files are required for the proper execution of Golden
  51. CommPass.

  70. Finally, several script files (*.SCR) have been included to customize
  71. the Golden CommPass signon process if you are signing onto CompuServe
  72. through an external network.

  74. These programs should be copied to a separate directory on your hard
  75. disk.

  78.                         Dynamic Link Libraries

  81. After you have decompressed these files (by executing each one from
  82. the OS/2 command prompt), you need to make sure that the Dynamic Link
  83. Libraries (DLL) are properly installed and OS/2 can locate them.

  85. There are 3 DLLs that must be installed in a directory pointed to by
  86. the OS/2 LIBPATH statement in your CONFIG.SYS.  You may want to
  87. consider adding .; to the beginning of your LIBPATH statement.  This
  88. will force OS/2 to search the current directory for the DLL first.

  96. The COMMPASS.INI file should be placed in the same directory as
  97. COMMPASS.EXE, however, the DPATH environment variable will also be
  98. searched to locate this file.

  104. COMMPASS.EXE, The HELP environment variable will also be searched to
