What is QuickView
=================
QuickView is the result of an idea which popped up while working
on an other program and playing a little with the Norton
Commander. It occurred to me that it would be nice to have the
datafile view function available for the RemoteAccess 2.01 RAMgr.
Once playing with the result I found out it was a useful utility
as it was..
To use QuickView call the program with a filename as parameter.
QuickView searches an database for the extension and starts a
program which can handle the given file. A few viewers are
included. See VIEWER.DOC for a list.
How to:
=======
For usage from within RAMgr install this utility in one of the
RAMgr functionkey slots. These can be found under
RACONFIG -> Options -> RAMGR FnKeys
The commandline should be "<Path>\QV.EXE @ *M" Where the *M is
optional.
For commandline use type: QV <Filename>
The QuickView.INI file:
=======================
The datafile has the following structure:
~<Programname> <Parameters>
:<Extentions>
For example:
~AAVIEW.EXE
:ANS AVT
or
~AAVIEW.EXE
:ANS
:AVT
Lines starting with a ; will be treated as comments. Empty lines
will be ignored.
After QuickView has been started it will first check the database
for the fileextention. If found QuickView will try to start the
associated program. If the program is not found, QuickView tries
once again to find the program in the same directory as the
QuickView program. This will only work if the program in the
datafile does not already has a path.
Shareware:
==========
QuickView is shareware. This means that you have a limited time,
say 30 days, to evaluate the program. After this period you have
to decide if this program is useful for you, and if it is, to
register. Continue to use this program without registering is
illegal.
When you register QuickView you will get a disk with the latest
version of the program, a registration key which removes the
annoying delays and marks the program as being registered by you.
The space left on the disk will be filled by shareware and
freeware versions of some of the other LiveSystems programs.
Registration can be done by sending cash, international money-
order or by transferring the shareware fee to my giro-account.
Creditcards and cheques are not accepted. After the money and the
registrationform are received the disk will be mailed.
Registration costs ƒ25,- dutch guilders which should be send to:
