  1. There are five major sections in Jets.  
  2.    Interactive Documentaries - narrated tours covering 
  3.     planes, pilots and jet aviation history.
  4.    Aircraft - photos, video, and text on more than 150 jet 
  5.     planes
  6.    Test Pilots and Designers - information on those who
  7.     created and flew the first jet planes.
  8.    Timeline - morphing timeline that provides a 
  9.     chronological view of jet development.
  10.    Books - the full text from The X-Planes and Test Pilots.

  12. The Main screen provides access to each section.  To move from the Main screen to a particular section in Jets, click on the corresponding button.  Click the Main button at the bottom of any screen to return to Main.

  15. Searching for planes and pilots
  16. ===============================
  17. To find a specific plane or pilot contained in Jets, click on the Find button.  This will display a list of available planes or pilots.  Double click on an entry to jump directly to that topic.  The Find window will remain the top most window for easy access until explicitly closed (click the control box in its upper left corner).  The Details button on the Find window allows you to toggle between planes and pilots and to sort the plane list alphabetically, by country, year, or manufacturer.  Click the Details button a second time to collapse the expanded window view.

  19. Within the Aircraft and Test Pilots screens, clicking on the Next button at the bottom of the screen will move you to the next plane or pilot in alphabetical sequence.

  22. Printing

  24. To print the text for the current plane or pilot you are viewing, select Print from the Options menu (click the Options button on the bottom of the screen).  To print the current book page, press the Print button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

  27. Copying information to the Windows clipboard

  29. To copy information to the Windows clipboard, select the text to copy with the mouse, then press the "CTRL"+"INSERT" keys on your keyboard.

  32. Setting Preferences

  34. To change preference settings such as Background Video Display and Sound on or off, select Preferences from the Options menu (click on the Options buttons on the bottom of the screen).  Settings will take effect after your next screen change.
