  4.    Version Four of Harvard Information Infrastructure Sourcebook

  7.  The Information Infrastructure Project at Harvard's Kennedy
  8.  School of Government announces the publication of Version 4.0 of the
  9.  Information Infrastructure Sourcebook (August 1994), edited by
  10.  Brian Kahin.  The Sourcebook now consists of over 1700 pages in
  11.  three volumes, containing approximately 3300 pages of original material.

  13.  The Sourcebook is designed to provide planners and policymakers a
  14.  single reference on efforts to define and develop policy for a
  15.  national information infrastructure.  It includes historical
  16.  policy documents, private sector vision statements and position
  17.  papers, program and project descriptions (all sectors), landmark
  18.  reports, and pending legislation.  
  19.  
  20.  In assembling the Sourcebook, we have looked for documents that
  21.  have had or are likely to have an impact on policy development,
  22.  that are formal in nature, and that deal with information
  23.  infrastructure at a general rather than topic level.  In general,
  24.  material is reproduced as is, although we have excerpted in the
  25.  interests of space, relevance, balance and consistency.  Because
  26.  of changes in technology, markets, programs and policies, the
  27.  Sourcebook will of necessity require supplementation or revision
  28.  on a regular basis.  So we will look for new or updated
  29.  contributions whenever they become available.  Please direct any

  40.  Priority Mail delivery within the U.S.; foreign delivery extra). 
  41.  In order to provide holders of previous versions of the
  42.  Sourcebook an affordable means of staying up to date on materials
  43.  related to developing policy for a national information
  44.  infrastructure, supplement are available.  The Supplement is
  45.  available for $40 for holders of Version 3.0.  Supplements are
  46.  also available for holders of Version 2.0 to update to Version
  47.  4.0 for $60.
