  25. Description of Working Group:

  27. The IP over Large Public Data Networks Working Group will
  28. specify the operation of the TCP/IP protocol suite over Public Data
  29. Networks (PDNs) such as SMDS, ISDN, X.25 PDNs, and Frame Relay.  The
  30. working group will develop and define algorithms for the resolution of
  31. IP addresses and for the routing of IP datagrams over large,
  32. potentially global, public data networks.
  33.  
  34. The IP over SMDS Working Group has defined the operation of the
  35. Internet protocols when SMDS is used to support relatively small
  36. virtual private networks, or Logical IP Subnets (LISs).  Issues
  37. arising from public and global connectivity were delegated to the
  38. IPLPDN Working Group. 
  39.  
  40. The IPLPDN Working Group will also continue the work of the Private Data Network
  41. Routing Working Group (PDNROUT) on X.25 PDNs.  This work will be
  42. extended to include call management and the use of the ISDN B channels
  43. for the transport of IP datagrams.

  45. Address resolution and routing over Frame Relay will also be
  46. discussed.

  58.                 multiple     documents.
