  8. Minutes of the Authenticated Firewall Traversal Working Group 
  9. (AFT)

  12. The AFT Working Group held a (traditionally brief) meeting at the 
  13. 34th IETF.
  14.  
  15. The Agenda included the notice of IETF LAST CALL on:
  16.  
  17. o  draft-ietf-aft-socks-protocol-v5-05.txt; and
  18. o  draft-ietf-aft-username-password-01.txt.
  19.  
  20. Some controversy existed with regard to draft-ietf-aft-gssapi-02.txt.  
  21. Since John Myers' SASL draft covered very similar material, John felt 
  22. that SASL would be a better mandatory requirement than the current 
  23. mandatory requirement for draft-ietf-aft-gssapi-02.txt.  Consensus was 
  24. called for, and a unanimous decision was reached to go with draft-ietf-
  25. aft-gssapi-02.txt, the draft that Piers McMahon has been working on 
  26. for several months.

  28. There was also a presentation by Marcus Leech and Dave Blob on their 
  29. implementations of SOCKS V5.
  30.  
  31. There were no other issues raised at this meeting.
