  41.  1. The minutes of the March 6 Teleconference were approved. Steve to
  42.     place in public archives.

  44.  2. The IESG approved publication of XDR: External Data Representation
  45.     Standad <RFC1832> as a Draft Standard. Steve to send announcement.
  46.  
  47.  3. The IESG approved publication of Basic Socket Interface Extensions
  48.     for IPv6 <draft-ietf-ipngwg-bsd-api-07.txt> as an Informational
  49.     document. Steve to send announcement.
  50.  
  51.  4. The IESG approved creation of the WWW Distributed Authoring and
  52.     Versioning (webdav) Working Group in the Applications Area.
  53.  
  54.  5. The IESG approved creation of the SNMP - Version 3 (SNMPv3) Working
  55.     Group in the Operations & Management Area of the IETF modulo minor
  56.     edits to be made prior to announcement. Mike will be the primary AD
  57.     for this WG.

  59.  6. The IESG approved creation of the Telnet TN3270 Enhancements
  60.      (tn3270e) Working Group in the Applications Area of the IETF.

  62.  7. Allyn reported that she would contact the author of TCP Control
  63.     Block Interdependence <draft-touch-tcp-interdep-00.txt> with
  64.     suggestions to be incorporated. Steve to send note to RFC Editor
  65.     requesting the document not be published as is, but that an update
  66.     is anticipated.

  68.  8. Harald said he would contact the authors of Update of Korean
  69.     Character Encoding for Internet Messages
  70.     <draft-rfced-info-kim-00.txt>.  Steve to request the RFC Editors
  71.     not publish the document.

  73.  9. The IESG felt that publication of Practical Approach to Improving
  74.     Scalability and Interoperability of SNMP Applications
  75.     <draft-rfced-info-romanov-00.txt> shpuld receive wider review and
  76.     be brought into the IETF. Steve to convey this to the RFC EDitor.
  77.  
  78. 10. Steve reviewed his plans to move forward with his plan for
  79.     host-independent IETF meetings, with an objective of being able to
  80.     reserve large hotels further in the future. When asked, Steve
  81.     reported that hosts are still a necessity for non-US IETF
  82.     meetings.

  84. 11. The IAB has requested that announcements be sent when IESG meeting
  85.     minutes are made available. Steve said he would handle this. Brian
  86.     asked that Steve also send out announcements for IAB meeting
  87.     minutes. Steve said he would handle this as well.

  89.     There was also some discussion on announcing when IETF meeting
  90.     minutes were received.  Steve said he'd make sure periodic
  91.     announcements would be sent listing all groups whose minutes have
  92.     been received.
