1. The minutes of the February 6 teleconference were approved. Steve
to place in Shadow directories.
2. The IESG approved publication The PPP Bandwidth Allocation Control
Protocol (BACP) <draft-ietf-pppext-bacp-06.txt> as a Proposed
Standard. Steve to send announcement.
3. The IESG approved establishing the QoS Routing (qosr) WG in the
routing area.
4. The IESG approved establishing the Multiprotocol Label Switching
(mpls) WG in the routing area with the following charter changes:
a. remove the two February '98 milestones
b. add a April '98 milestone to review the status of the WG's
efforts and determine whether to close down the WG. If not,
identify the next set of milestones.
c. Change the verb in Objective 7 from "Provide" to "Discuss"
5. The IESG approved establishing the Secure Shell (secsh) WG in the
Security Area.
6. The IESG approved establishing The Internet and the millenium
problem (2000) in the Operations area.
7. The IESG consensus was to move the Interfaces MIB (ifmib) to the
Internet Area. This completes the reallocation of the Network
Management Area WGs.
8. The IESG approved publication of Microsoft Point-To-Point
Compression (MPPC) Protocol <draft-ietf-pppext-mppc-00.txt> as an
Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement.
9. The IESG approved publication of Traffic Flow Measurement:
Experiences with NeTraMet <draft-ietf-rtfm-acct-experiences-01.txt>
as an Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement.
10. The IESG approved publication of Managing the X.500 Root Naming
context <draft-ietf-ids-root-naming-01.txt> as an Experimental
Protocol. Steve to send announcement.
11. The IESG discussed the idea of adding the new IESG members, whose
terms begin at the end of the Memphis meeting in April, to the IESG
teleconference. The consensus was that it was inappropriate for
them to be included before their terms begin.
12. Keith said he would send notes to the author of Telnet Remote
Serial Port (RSP) Option <draft-rfced-info-bennett-00.txt>. Steve
to convey this information in a "please do not publish yet" message
to the RFC Editor.
13. Steve to sent note to RFC Editor summarizing IESG comments/concerns
on Electronic Part Catalog to Business System Interface
<draft-rfced-info-sheppard-00.txt>, suggesting that it not be
published.
