  18. There is a need in the Internet community for an unencumbered 
  19. encryption algorithm with a range of key sizes that can provide 
  20. security for a variety of cryptographic applications and protocols.  
  21. This document describes an existing algorithm that can be used to 
  22. satisfy this requirement.

  24. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  25. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  26. this memo is unlimited.

  28. This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
