  16. This RFC states particular octet sequences that comprise the OSI
  17. upper-layer protocols (Session, Presentation and ACSE) when used to
  18. support applications with "basic communications requirements". These
  19. include OSI application protocols such as X.400 P7 and Directory
  20. Access Protocol, and "migrant" protocols, originally defined for use
  21. over other transports.  This RFC is the product of the Minimal OSI
  22. Upper-Layers Working Group of the IETF.

  24. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  25. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  26. this memo is unlimited.
