  22. The purpose of this document is to describe coexistence between
  23. version 2 of the Internet-standard Network Management Framework,
  24. termed the SNMP version 2 framework (SNMPv2), and the original
  25. Internet-standard Network Management Framework (SNMPv1).  This RFC is
  26. the product of the SNMP Version 2 Working Group of the IETF.

  28. This is now a Draft Standard Protocol.

  30. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  31. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  32. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  33. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  34. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
