  17. As required by Routing Protocol Criteria (RFC 1264), this report
  18. defines the applicability of the RIP-2 protocol within the
  19. Internet.  This report is a prerequisite to advancing RIP-2 on
  20. the standards track.  This RFC is the product of the RIP Version II
  21. Working Group of the IETF.
  22.  
  23. This is now a Draft Standard Protocol.
  24.  
  25. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  26. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  27. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  28. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  29. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
