  5. A KEYBOARD MACRO is a sequence of key strokes  recorded
  6. like you record music on a cassette tape.
  7.  
  8. EDITH  allows   you   to   record   up   to   10   such
  9. sequences, which are activated by pressing CONTROL  and
  10. a function key.
  11.  
  12. To start recording a macro, open the MACROS dialog from
  13. the CONFIG menu  or by  pressing CONTROL  and 6.   Then
  14. select one  of  the  function keys,   type  a  name  to
  15. identify the  sequence  (this  is  not  necessary), and
  16. press RECORD.

  18. Top a  text  window and  enter  the sequence.  To  stop
  19. recording, select END MACRO from the CONFIG menu, click
  20. STOP in the  KEYBOARD MACROS  dialog. While  recording,
  21. the mouse will take the shape of an audio cassette.

  23. From then on, the sequence can be activated by pressing
  24. control plus the selected function key.

  27. ** A macro consists  of up to  16 keystrokes.  A  macro
  28.    cannot call another macro.
  29.  
  30. ** Macros are  loaded  and saved  together  with  other
  31.    keyboard settings by LOAD KEYS and SAVE KEYS.

  33. ** The default configuration  contains 5 preset  macros
  34.    (on F1-F5).   F6 up  to F10  are open  for your  own
  35.    additions.
