I vote for 'Depth Charge' rather than 'One for the Burglar'!..  Kurt
says it said OFTB on the Album, but according to the tracklength (of
lazlo's disco) it's 'depth charge', the "other" DSBC track!

Let's all have more COLORS! >8) Colors rock!.. and use them in IRC,=20

this on IRC and in emails and webpages should be multimedia=20
experiences requiring the latest bells & whistle-plugins, too!.. So=20
everyone has to buy a Penistum6-2Ghz with 2GB RAM and wait 5 minutes=20
before watching the page!..

Sorry, but IMHO design ist not about throwing random=20
elements/characters around or extensive use of colors to demonstrate=20
a "freewheeling mind that's released from restrictions"!...=20
Consistency, skill and style is the keyword!..

This is no real flame, just got a bit annoyed at this remark as i=20
have seen way too many sickly colorful webpages claiming to have=20
design!..

to, but heres my tuppence ha'penny
worth anyhow.

i pretty much agree with the comments about other recent releases
- - tho i do think the Leftfield got a bit of an unnecesarily hard time,
but...

The disc I'd have to recommend is the new Death in Vegas The Continni
Session, or some such title.
Its been oddly described as goth techno, & I can see the point of that -
its a dark album - but I wouldnt put too much faith in it.  Sounds like
Primal Scream (& not just because of Bobby Gillespies vocals), Chems
'Private Psychedelic Reel'
and even Placebo, as well as having shit hot contributions from Jim reid and
the god-like
(not to mention every-fucking-where at the moment) Iggy Pop.

Probably the best technoid album out this year - with one possible
exception.

I'd recommend "Hybrid - Wide Angle". They played at Homelands, Dublin and
were great! The album is good too, a bit of electro and a bit of trancey,
orechestral parts too.

There are quite a few games out there with damn good music here are some that stand out in my mind, add to the list if you know any that I missed....

GPolice 2 - very nicely done d'n'b with some techno

trickstyle - interesting stuff mostly techno, has one cool goa song

wipeout3 - Sasha's trance and orbital

wipeout XL - circa. 95'96' techno (orbital, leftfield, chems, underworld, prodigy)

wipeout - techno (by cold storage)

need for speed 4 - euro-canadian techno :P

ridge racer games - circa. 94-97 japanese pop/techno/breakbeat

any more?

(anyone hear the new deep dish cd? it's groovy)

The secret to Halo twelve is that it's not a disc.  It's a tape, two
actually.  Halo 12 is a two video set called 'Closure.'  The first video is
a collection of their music videos.  Some you've seen (Head Like a Hole,
Closer) but these are full and uncensored.  There are more, however, which
are quite... interesting.  Sin, Happiness in Slavery, March of the Pigs and
more are also included.  And you just have to see the guest bass player for
Gave Up.  The second video of course is excerpts from the Downward Spiral
tour.  It feature the now famous Hurt (live) performance.  With appearances
by M. Manson(ugh) and Jim rose with his lovable Side Show Circus.  BE
WARNED, this video shows in graphic detail why the first Mr. Lifto retired.

Now that you know what your looking for it shouldn't be too hard to find.
You can probably special order it from a Camelot or Best Buy.

I'll leave the astralwerks sampler v.2 stuff there for now.
and I re-loaded the few rare orbital I have into 0rbital.

at the advice of my lawyer, i have re-named 2 mp3s in my 0rbital dir.

The song formerly know as "Ive seen the Future" is now "Untitled_omen"
as it appears to be from the Omen single.

As previously reported, the DS Building Contractors song named "one
forthe burglar' has been re-named 'Depth Charge'

{as also stated earlier, i can do mothing at present to fix any
mis-labels in the id3 tags} if someone wants to fix 'em and send em back
that'd be great. just write me first as there is no upload permission at
present
