No, don't! Don't listen to these people who tell you that it's a good idea to
get a job when you're still in highschool because of the experience/money. If
you need the cash, fine, but otherwise it just takes up too much time from
school and friends. You have the rest of your life to work, and you'll
probably do plenty of that. So wait until you get into University until you go
to work for the summer or whatever. Then your chances of having to say 'would
you like to supersize that' are greatly reduced.

It's a quality issue for me. I don't like anything that compresses whether I want
it to or not, and that's what MD does.

You'd think so, right? But I looked for a few days and couldn't do it. This was
months ago however, and I finally gave up. It's the .ra of the live concert in
the US that Orbital put on. Boston was it? Anyway, streaming off the web was ok
in residence with 10Mbps Ethernet, but on my 33.6 it's not practical. I ended up
just burning that huge-ass .ra instead of trying to convert it. There's no way
that would have anything but a bad effect on the quality anyway.

What about the poor people of the world that can't afford to go and buy all the CDs, getting them on MP3 or on Gold discs would be a cheap way for them to build up a music collection.
**
Well.. my monthly income is about like $40.. most of that goes towards long distance bills. If i want something, i wait until i have the money. Simple as that. I haven't bought a cd since the middle of june when i bought the golden palomino's dead inside. wait i'm lying. i bought esthero's breath from another (GREAT cd) a couple weeks ago. oops.

You'll be lucky. I'd expect they're busy getting on with the next album.
They'd damn well better be. And I've not heard anything off the dirtylist,
so if they are playing, they're keeping it quiet so far.

So, what are you trying to say? Don't beat around the bush, I can
tell there's some point to that.. (It's hard to convey sarcasm

But as an aside to that, Madonna _did_ get her start in the New York

Here's my chance to spout off about something.. :) If you haven't
bought the new Underworld video compilation, drop everything and go
do it now. It's called "Footwear Repair by Craftsmen at Competetive
Prices", and worth every cent of whatever you have to pay for it.
It's 90 or so minutes of continuous, brilliant Underworld madness.
The video for Spikee is the most mind-numbingly amazing video I've
seen. There's nothing else like it (even in the realm of underworld)
The track list is something like this (the order may differ slightly)
rez
spikee
spoonman
most 'ospitable
dark and long (dark train)
oich oich
cowgirl
born slippy
pearl's girl
dirty epic
banstyle
moaner
now playing - orb - super nova (reefer spin in the galaxy)

Hmm.. The original version of Watching Windows really isn't jungle.
It's like 140bpm. (It's also not one of my favorites) The remix they
did for the video is, and I think it's pretty good. Check out the
Photek remix of Brown Paper Bag. Now that's a groovy song.

While I definitely understand the concept of "be free while you can" and as
much as my current work situation reflects that attitude, I disagree with
you. Getting a job during the summer (during the year might be pushing it
a bit) is a good idea. Work part time if you want more free time...but
work. Try to get a job and keep it for awhile (couple summers). It's
never too early to think about your resume. I know that sounds very "grown
up and boring" of me, but when you try to get a job in college you'll start
to understand. Having an empty resume when you're 20 is a BAD IDEA
