  6. This is the second patch for the Linux version of Railroad Tycoon II.
  7. You must apply this patch after you have downloaded and installed the
  8. 1.54a patch.
  9.  
  10. IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES:
  11. =======================

  13. 1.54b:
  14.  
  15.     - Fixed crash when the AI is creating companies.
  16.     - The server IP address is now properly used in finding network games.
  17.     - You can now network with more than 2 players.
  18.     - Defaults to fullscreen by default; the new fullscreen code does
  19.       not require root privileges anymore, and should work on any
  20.       XFree86 and compatible X11 server with at least the 1024x768 video
  21.       mode defined in the XF86Config file. Use the Alt-Enter hotkey at any
  22.       time to switch between fullscreen and windowed modes.
  23.     - Proper CDROM detection on systems using supermount (Mandrake)
  24.     - CD-ROM volume settings are now saved between games
  25.     - The CD-ROM is now detected if it is mounted while the game is playing.
  26.     - Initial PPC port work by TerraSoft (available in a separate archive).
  27.       This port does not support networking with other versions of the game.

  29. Improvements and fixes in previous patches:

  33.     - Fixed splash screen appearing over main menu in fullscreen mode
  34.     - Fixed 32-bit fullscreen blitting crash (new optimized C blitters)
  35.     - Now clears screen during campaign videos
  36.     - Fixes campaign map corruption for maps 08 through 15
  37.     - Fixed X shutdown when the game crashes and is started from menu

  40. INSTALLING THIS PATCH

  43. Just run the script by typing the following from the command line :

  45.      sh rt2-1.54b-x86.run
  46.  
  47. It will prompt you for the installation path of the game. If different
  48. from the default (/usr/local/games/RT2), type the name of the directory
  49. where you installed the game.
