  4. Linguistic versus   Here's the problem with taxonomies constructed from word
  5. semantic hypertext  lists -- the index was probably built by marking key
  6. ==================  words.  This approach only indexes words and not the
  7.                     ideas contained in an information system.

  16. How do you          I doubt many college graduates ever learned how to
  17. index ideas?        systematically find and index all the ideas within a
  18. ============        article, book, author, situation, or period.  Yet,
  19.                     the indexing of ideas and relationships is perhaps the
  20.                     fastest way to subject mastery.   Here's how I do it.
