  13. The primary purposes of CERCUS are to identify and document security issues
  14. and to educate the TIEnet community.  This committee is oriented toward the
  15. discussion of technical and operational concerns.  These concerns include,
  16. but are not limited to data integrity, availability or compromise of
  17. services, and operating system, file system, and network vulnerabilities.

  19. The CERCUS is also intended to be the primary point of contact for computer
  20. and networking security incidents.  As such, the CERCUS will be TRW's
  21. source for participation in the Forum of Incident Response and Security
  22. Teams (FIRST), an industry-wide consortium.
