  1.     INSTRUCTIONS

  3. From the main menu you have a number
  4. of options.
  5.  
  6. BACKGROUND provides some
  7. reading material on the theoretical
  8. background for this program.
  9.  
  10. VERBAL
  11. This is a test involving the use of
  12. words and letters.
  13.  
  14. SPATIAL
  15. This is a test involving the use of
  16. patterns and shapes.
  17.  
  18. LOGIC
  19. This is a test involving the use of
  20. numbers and logic.
  21.  
  22. GENERAL
  23. This test combines questions from
  24. all 3 of the above tests.
  25.  
  26. POWER
  27. This option allows you to do a
  28. test without any time limit.
  29.  
  30. OPEN
  31. This allows you to choose a
  32. divergent thinking test which goes
  33. for 30 minutes.
  34.  
  35. BLITZ
  36. This option sets the tests to a
  37. length of 5 minutes.
  38.  
  39. HINTS
  40. This gives you some tips on how to
  41. approach the tests.
  42.  
  43. QUIT ends the program.
  44.  
  45. This program contains a number of
  46. quizzes which can be done for your
  47. enjoyment.

  49. There is a time limit on each test.
  50. When your time is up the test
  51. ends. In the event you complete all
  52. the questions before your time runs
  53. out then there the test will end.
  54. Try not to spend too long on any one
  55. question, if necessary, just guess
  56. that question.

  58. Each question will have only one
  59. correct answer. In each case try and
  60. pick the best answer.
  61.  
  62. Your final raw score will be a
  63. product of how much time you took and
  64. the number of correct answers you
  65. have made. All questions will be
  66. worth equal points. You will not
  67. lose points for incorrect answers.

  69. Once you have answered a question it
  70. will be impossible to return to
  71. it,though there should be more than
  72. enough questions for the time
  73. allowed.

  75. Spend your time wisely and do not
  76. waste too much time on one question.
  77.  
  78. You will give your answers by typing
  79. it in on the keyboard, or by clicking
  80. the mouse pointer on one of the answers.
  81. It will be obvious which of these
  82. choices you have.
  83.  
  84. When the test finishes you will be
  85. given a score. You will have the
  86. option of saving this score to a
  87. Hi-Score table.
