  25. The alt.vampyres newsgroup was given Usenet approval and came into 
  26. existence as an unmoderated newsgroup on Sunday, 3 September 1992. 
  27. The file description maintains that the alt.vampyres newsgroup is for: 
  28. Discussion of vampyres and related writings, films, etc. 
  29.  
  30. The whereabouts of the alt.vampyres group charter is currently unknown.
  31. In the absence of the charter, postings to alt.vampyres should be  
  32. compliant with the alt.vampyres faqs which summarize the newsgroup
  33. purposes thusly:

  35. 1. Alt.vampyres is for the discussion of vampire lore in any culture, 
  36.    ancient or modern.

  38. 2. Alt.vampyres is for the discussion of vampires in fiction, such as

  57. as particularly relevent for contributions to alt.vampyres:

  60.  gifs, jpegs, bmps, binaries, etc.  
  61. -Do not make test posts on alt.vampyres (go to alt.test).
  62. -Frequent or off-topic advertizing is considered spam and may be reported. 
  63. -Do not post someone else's work as your own. This is called 'plagiarism'.
  64. -No personal attacks or insults (except when troll-bashing). 
  65. -Take to email lengthy private or off-topic discussions. 
  66. -Edit responses to avoid unnecessary inclusions of earlier postings.
