  7. Word Search and Replace is a freeware Word macro for Microsoft
  8. Word that can search and replace in files you specify using
  9. Microsoft Word search and replace functioning.
  10.  
  11. IMPORTANT: Use this software at your own risk. It comes with no
  12. warrantees of usability or safety of your data. Make backups of
  13. all files that may be affected by your operation BEFORE you do
  14. search and replace. DO NOT RELY on the Word 'undo' function as a
  15. backup method -- it may not work. Use a product such as our
  16. Directory Toolkit to zip your files or copy them to a backup path.

  24. Requirements:

  26.  - To use this macro you must enable Word Macros. Some users will
  27.    have macro functioning disabled, or at a high security setting,
  28.    due to anti-virus measures. Consult your Microsoft Word manual
  29.    for instructions on how to change Macro permissions. In Word
  30.    2000, go to Tools | Macro | Security and select 'Medium' or
  31.    'Low'. You to scan the document with your anti-virus scanner
  32.    before running the macro for the first time.

  34.  - If instead of the "Search and Replace in Documents" form you
  35.    get an error message, you cannot use this script. Some versions
  36.    of Word distributed along with Microsoft Works do not include
  37.    the necessary VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) modules that
  38.    are needed to perform the operation.  Upgrading to a full
  39.    version of Word and/or Microsoft Office is the only solution.
