  5. Due to popular demand, I have dusted off an eight year old RK05 pack
  6. and recovered my copy of MTREK, the classic multiplayer, space-war game
  7. for RSX-11M. As I remember it, I got MTREK off of a DECUS tape. This
  8. copy is dated October 14th, 1981 and reflects my efforts to clean it
  9. up. I added support for more terminal types and modified it to use
  10. overlays to reduce its physical memory requirements. There are 73 files
  11. including this README.

  13. The game appears to be written mostly in FORTRAN IV (.ftn extensions)
  14. with a few MACRO-11 modules (.mac extensions). The overlay descriptor
  15. files have .odl extensions and the mcr command files used to compile,
  16. build and install the game have .cmd extensions.

  18. I know it's possible to build and run this game under VAX/VMS. If
  19. anyone manages to do this, I'd appreciate hearing the details.
