  1. This server uses the Wuarchive ftpd, and is configured to use the following extensions:

  3. You can "get" <directory>.<suffix> or <file>.<suffix> where suffix comes from the set of
  4. [gz, Z, tar, tar.Z, tar.gz] and the software will compress and/or tar it for you on the
  5. fly. Likewise, if you strip suffixes from filenames, they can be uncompressed for you.
