Star Trek Fortune files:
stf.c - The stfortune program. It should compile fine on almost anything.
Please let me know if you have to fiddle with it to get it to work.
Be sure to look at the NOTE just after the modification history.
Also, be sure to run it with the -i option to create an index file
for the quote file. This speeds up access A LOT!! If you decided not
to, always run it with the -u option (do not use an index file) as
the use of the index file is the default.
renum.c - A little utility that will renumber a quote file. Nice if you want
add the DS9 quotes to the rest and have one quote file. Usually you
will want to copy your file to a temporary name (say tmp) and then
run "renum tmp stquotes". It has help and some options, but DO NOT
use the same file as input and output files!
stquotes - These are the actual Star Trek quotes. There are quotes from
the original series, the movies, and TNG. While some episodes may
not have quotes, most do, including season 6 of TNG. Deep Space 9
quotes are NOT included.
ds9quotes - These are the quotes from Deep Space 9.
stf.doc - This file is the documentation for the package. It includes info on
using stfortune, command line options, compiling notes, etc. It also
contains info on the renum utility and on modifying the quote files.
contents - This file.
