BLOBSTOP V1.0

**************** A few notes to read first ***************
September 9, 1994
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK. On my system, these patches have performed flawlessly. Since
their installation, all floppy related BLOB problems have disappeared.
I sincerely hope that they help you as well.
As you use these patches here are some points to consider:
1. The Disto patches are for the edition #162 Sleep and #163 IRQ LEVEL2
($FF74 - $FF77 mapped) drivers. I am not sure how many versions of
Disto drivers are out there.
2. If you experience difficulty with these patches, please try
to eliminate all other potential cause of problems. This is
particularly true with patches to the boot module in the
kernal track. The boot module is not the easiest module in
the world to patch and when one gets it wrong, the ever
helpful "BOOT FAILED" message is displayed - if you are lucky.
Fortunately, I have done all the work for you. So, all you
need to do is modpatch and cobbler (Unless you need a native
6309 Boot, in which case, things get more complicated).
4. In the unlikely (I hope!) event that you think that you have
found a problem with these patches, please contact me with the
exact nature of the problem. I would also appreciate feedback
on which patches you have tested and how successful they were
in helping you:

I would like to thank Allen Huffman for alpha testing some of these patches
and for allowing his CoCo to be crashed in the line of duty. He also gave me a
few ideas on how to make the docs easier to follow.
Many people on the CoCo list helped me with questions about how the
different LV2 upgrades out there handle the 6309 stack. Thanks folks!
