Extrusions: Not considered "standard" shapes, but of potentially wide
interest. Currently limited in size to approximately 6 1/2 inches
diameter circle, or structurals to 5 inches diameter.
Tubing: Dimensioned by the outside diameter and wall thickness.
Piping: Nominal pipe size is the inside diameter from 1/8" to and
including 12". Nominal pipe size is the outside diameter for 14"
and larger diameters. The wall thickness is dimensioned by schedules
(5S, 10S, 20, 30, 40, 80, 120, 160, Double Extra Heavy, and variations
thereof) for all nominal pipe sizes.
Castings: Many of the stainless steel alloys are available as castings
in complex shapes and weighing from less than a pound to several tons.
Refer to Cast Alloys under Main Menu and Alloy Composition for reference
information on widely used cast alloys.
