TiC's WAD Review
---------------------------------------------------------------------
In irregular intervals I will review a few PWADs.
All reviews are totally subjective, I'll not beautify anything!
If you have any suggestions, ideas or whatever; e-mail me at:
denis@doomsday.shnet.org or denis.moeller@kiel.netsurf.de
All files can be found on ftp.cdrom.com and its mirror sites.
DON'T ASK ME TO SEND YOU ANY FILES NOR WHERE TO GET THEM.
If you want me to review a special PWAD - email me.
I will NOT review any deathmatch-levels!
You can also read my reviews at this WebPage:

Title: Apocalypse Game: Doom 2
Filename: APOCLPS2.ZIP Size: 70k
Author: Tim J. Ash e-mail: tim.ash@cyberstore.ca
Maps: MAP01 Type: normal level
Sounds: no
Graphics: no
Music: no
[ Level construction ] ----------------------------------------------
At the beginning a few circle-like hallways, later huge hallways
and a granite-labyrinth. The whole level is not very logical, e.g.
the red or blue key-placement. The yellow key is in sight, but VERY
difficult to catch. The way to the key is not on the map and not
marked like a secret or something - you have no idea how to get it.
This sucks and makes the level a run-all-rooms-at-least-twice level.
Furthermore there are some very annoying places, like a grid of
teleporting blocks (try to get to the lower right corner) or the
labyrinth - it is completely disabled on the map. Good light usage.
[ Texture design ] --------------------------------------------------
A few misaligned textures, but overall good work.
[ Bugs ] ------------------------------------------------------------
No Tuttie-Frutti, Medusa or HOM effects.
[ Enemies ] ---------------------------------------------------------
Played in UV only. Too hard. Just imagine a Arch-Vile in a BIG
room with a grid of teleporters and a lot of monsters of course -
this sucks! Kinda impossible.
[ Things ] ----------------------------------------------------------
Short of ammo and health, very tough. Not very much other things
placed, could be more.
[ Scoring ] ---------------------------------------------------------
55%
Worth downloading. However, not a fun level, but a frustrating
level. Because of the 'I-really-don't-know-where-to-go-now' idea and
some other annoying places.
